Environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy
Our Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) policy refers to the responsibility we have for our wider environment. This encompasses the pillars of people and values, our approach to health and safety, the environment and our charitable work.
It is our belief that a great business is powered by great people who take accountability and responsibility for these pillars, and we are committed to contributing positively to the world.
We are part of the SEDEX Members Ethical Trade Audit who look at universal human rights in business practices and global supply chains. We also adhere to best practice as set out by the Institute of Business Ethics.
This policy applies to Just Sanitise.
We aim to be a responsible business, which strives to achieve the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.

We believe a company that is run in the long-term interests of its shareholders should have values that respect its responsibilities to not only its employees, suppliers and customers but also the environment and society as a whole.
It should also adopt business practices throughout the company that are consistent with its culture and values.
Grampian Manufacturing Group/Just Sanitise commits to:
- Respect and act on the law, our regulators, and feedback received from our customers
- Adhere to our own internal policies, and constantly review how we work to ensure that we maximise our obligations to all stakeholders
- Ensure that our business practices are legitimate and in line with our own corporate values
- Ensure that partnerships and collaborations with external partners are open, transparent, and in the best interest of our customers
- Continually review our working environment so as to not put at risk the health and safety of our employees
- Avoid harming or otherwise negatively impacting the lives of people local to our premises. We will monitor this by ensuring we are considerate with how we treat and use the local area, and listen to feedback from our neighbours
- Support diversity and inclusion in the workplace
Our promise to our stakeholders is to always strive to meet or exceed ethical, legal, commercial, and public expectations of how a company should conduct business.
We have developed guidelines for conducting our business that support and align with the values important to our customers, their employees, and communities.
- Helping Others/charitable
The business was established with an inherent desire to support those on the frontline and essential workers, providing them with affordable and effective protection in the fight against Covid.
We support local charities through our own charitable initiatives, working with members of our supply chain. Since establishment we have donated Just Sanitise hand sanitiser to more than 15 local charities and care homes.
In addition, we currently support NHS Charities Together (registered charity no. 1186569), donating a percentage of our profits from the Just Sanitise range. It is our intention to make a minimum donation of £100,000 in our financial year 20/21.
NHS Charities Together is a collective experience representing, supporting and championing the work of the NHS’ official charities. NHS Charities give £1million a day to the NHS, providing vital funds to help the NHS do more. Through NHS Charities Together member charities collaborate on nationwide fundraising and advocacy campaigns.
NHS Charities Together also provides specialist advice and guidance to members through visits, and one to one support via email and phone calls.
Through our board we also support a number of causes. we also support the rise of women in business. Our CEO Nicola is a part of the Santander Women Business Leaders Mentor programme, working with emerging female leaders in the UK. Our Chief Operating Officer Kate Andrews is trustee for Mobee, a charity for mental health in the Gambia.

Health and Safety
Just Sanitise is a Lab Tested: BS EN1276, BS EN1500 and BS EN13697 certified product. Our product follows the World Health Organisation’s guide to local production of hand sanitiser formulation. Full information can be found on the World Health Organisation’s website.
The company takes very seriously its obligations and responsibilities in respect of health and safety and is committed to complying with all applicable Health and Safety legislation.
The objective is to provide a safe working environment and a safe system of work to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all its employees, customers’ employees and suppliers’ employees whether on the Company’s premises or carrying out Company business elsewhere.
The Company expects all its employees, suppliers/ suppliers’ employees undertaking Company business and customer employees on the Company’s premises to adhere to its Health and safety policy.
The Company regularly reviews its working practices including the general working environment to ensure that best practices are adhered to or adopted and that safety hazards are identified and accidents are avoided as far as is reasonably practicable.
In particular, the Company regularly monitors the safety of any equipment or machinery provided for use by employees.
Maintenance is regularly and scrupulously carried out and proper records are kept. All equipment and machinery provided by the Company complies with the appropriate European standards and is designed or adapted for the purpose for which it is used. All employees who use or supervise the use of such equipment or machinery are properly trained in its use including health and safety considerations.
All vehicles and trailers are fully inspected every 42 days. All drivers and employees are fully trained in the transport of materials and undergo constant training in order to keep up to speed with current regulations and guidelines.
We know that our work has an impact on the environment and that we have a duty to manage that impact in a responsible and ethical manner. We do this through identifying all significant environmental impacts and putting processes intoplace to prevent, reduce and mitigate them. This also makes good business sense.
Based in Aberdeenshire we are acutely aware of our natural environment and mitigating any impact. Our bottling site is family owned and managed today, operating in an ethical and environmentally friendly way. We have a responsibility to look after the area in which we reside.
Meanwhile, our logistics fleet complies with Euro 6 Directive (to reduce harmful emissions and improve air quality).
This policy and the obligations recorded therein will be reviewed and audited annually via our SEDEX membership and our adherence to best practice through the Institute of Business Ethics. We are committed to ensuring our policy it is up to date, holding ourselves responsible to our own standards.
