Just Sanitise achieves virucidal status with effectiveness against human coronavirus as part of latest accreditation
Just Sanitise is delighted to announce its latest European accreditation, officially recognising its efficacy at destroying viruses, including the human coronavirus.
Following weeks of third-party laboratory testing, compliance with the BS EN 14476 recognises the quick-drying liquid sanitiser, which kills 99.999% of bacteria, as being effective against destroying enveloped viruses including the human coronavirus.
This latest awarding of compliance follows Just Sanitise’s BS EN 13697 accreditation, gained last week, which recognises the product as suitable for use on hard surfaces and paves the way for the launch of the company’s new surface spray product. Just Sanitise also holds the BS EN1276 and BS EN150 accreditations.
This BS EN 14476 European standard is applicable for products used in areas and situations where disinfection is medically indicated, typically hospitals, medical and dental facilities, nursing homes, and may also include services such as laundries and kitchens supplying products directly for patients.
Co-founder Nicola Hartland said: “As the country continues to adjust to day-to-day life during the pandemic, as a business we’ve remained agile alongside the evolving needs of our customers, primarily those in retail, as well as hospitality and leisure industry who are looking to ensure they provide a covid-safe environment and keep their businesses moving.
“Our BS EN 14476 accreditation follows rigorous testing in a third-party laboratory and, coupled with our BS EN 13697, means we are able to provide the reassurance to businesses and their customers, providing them with a product that matches their daily requirements and adherence to public health guidance.”
